FEMALE STUDENT KILLS NEWBORN IN JAGAWA STATE UNIVERSITY

 

A female student at Federal University Dutse in Jigawa State killed her recently born child in the dorm. The baby was reportedly tossed from the top floor of a three-story structure, and the student—whose identity is being withheld—was alleged to have planned the child's death.

A heartbreaking scenario with other students struggling to understand the unfathomable loss was captured in a viral video. There are rumors that she gave birth in the hostel's restroom, and concerns are raised about her single status and the circumstances of her pregnancy.

Abdullahi Bello, the varsity's spokesperson, verified the event on Monday. He reassured everyone that the institution alerted the authorities right away. He emphasized the recent start of the academic session and highlighted that the student's pregnancy did not arise during her time at the university.

The student received emergency medical assistance after the incident. Bello said, "The university administration is investigating the matter thoroughly and taking the appropriate action to resolve it.
